Dr. Ojie is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Maryland and New York state. She has many years of training and experience conducting individual, couple, family, and group psychotherapy, assessments, and research with a wide variety of individuals. She specializes in using Cognitive Behavioral strategies to treat various presenting conditions including mood disorders (i.e. depression, anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, etc.), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder, social and behavioral difficulties, and managing various stressful situations in children, adolescents, and young adults. Dr. Ojie also has experience working with couples that have recently separated and require assistance with developing a positive and high-quality co-parenting relationship.
Dr. Ojie received a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Child and Adolescent Psychology from St. John’s University in Queens, New York in 2014. Before attending St. John’s University, Dr. Ojie received a Masters’ degree in Clinical Psychology and Education from Columbia University, Teachers College. Dr. Ojie completed a one-year postdoctoral fellowships at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical College which focused on dealing with anxiety disorders and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Dr. Ojie then completed a second one-year doctoral fellowship training at the outpatient child and adolescent clinic at the Kennedy Krieger Institute – Johns Hopkins School of Medicine which focuses on treated various child and adolescent related mental health conditions.
In the years since completing her formal training, Dr. Ojie has also received various training and certifications in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Previous treatment settings include medical centers, outpatient clinics, university counseling centers, hospital inpatient, and private practice.
