Dr. Nash has a Doctorate of Education in Counseling Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland. Dr. Nash has worked in both Inpatient and Outpatient settings providing individual, couples, and family psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Nash provided crisis intervention and counseling services for more than 13 years at Prince Georges Hospital Center. She has more than a decade of professional experience offering an eclectic, warm, nonjudgmental approach with a style tailored to meet the needs of each individual. Various theoretical orientations such as CBT, Humanistic, Interpersonal, and Family Systems Therapy, are utilized to help clients reach their full potential. Her areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, PTSD, anger management, and stress management.
Dr. Nash earned her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Bowie State University in 2003 and her Doctorate of Education in Counseling at Argosy University in 2013. She is a National Board Certified Counselor. Dr. Nash has worked in the school system helping to empower parents and engaging them to help their children overcome challenges or obstacles throughout their development and academic pursuits. Dr. Nash believes that empowerment can have real meaning when clients take the first step in defining it through a collaborative counseling process. It is throughout this process that Dr. Nash helps her clients achieve and restore a healthy balance in their lives.
