Dr. Neha A. Patel is a Maryland Licensed Clinical Psychologist, with experience in providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults. She has worked in a variety of settings, including public school systems, private practice, psychiatric hospitals, and a group home.
Dr. Patel received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the American School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. While on her Internship and Post-Doctoral Training in her hometown of Chicago, Illinois, she worked with the Eating Disorder Population, primarily adolescents and adults. She has used a variety of modalities with this population including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and an Integrative Approach. Dr. Patel conducted Couples/Family Therapy with this population as well.
Dr. Patel has a continued interest in working with the Eating Disorder Population and their families. Her other areas of specialization include: Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders, Self-Injury, Adjustment Issues, Stress Management, Parenting related Stress, Relationship Troubles, Self-Esteem Struggles and Adolescent Behavioral Issues.
She has an empathic individualized and flexible approach that meets the needs of her clients. Dr. Patel is available to see children, adolescents and adults over the age of 10.
